Description

Lemon Posset is a creamy, citrusy British dessert made with just three ingredients. It’s luxuriously smooth and incredibly easy to prepare.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream and sugar. Stir until sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes while stirring continuously.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice.
  4. Let the mixture cool slightly, then pour into small serving glasses or ramekins.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  6. Serve chilled, optionally topped with fresh berries or a dollop of whipped cream.
