Description

A flavorful and spicy Korean dish made with gochujang-marinated chicken, perfect for a bold and savory meal.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 3 tbsp gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, and ginger to make the marinade.
  2. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and add to the marinade. Mix well to coat evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1 hour.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and slightly caramelized.
  5. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
  6. Serve hot with steamed rice or vegetables.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of gochujang based on your spice preference.
  • Marinating the chicken longer enhances the flavor.
  • Goes well with a side of kimchi or pickled vegetables.
