Description
A flavorful and spicy Korean dish made with gochujang-marinated chicken, perfect for a bold and savory meal.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 3 tbsp gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, and ginger to make the marinade.
- Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and add to the marinade. Mix well to coat evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1 hour.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and slightly caramelized.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or vegetables.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of gochujang based on your spice preference.
- Marinating the chicken longer enhances the flavor.
- Goes well with a side of kimchi or pickled vegetables.
