Description

A quick and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts glazed with a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights and ready in just 25 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tablespoon water (if using cornstarch)
  • Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts to even thickness for uniform cooking.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and apple cider vinegar.
  6. Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet with the chicken.
  7. Let the sauce simmer and thicken slightly, about 3-4 minutes. If using cornstarch, mix it with water and stir into the sauce to thicken further.
  8. Turn the chicken to coat evenly in the sauce.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce to control saltiness.
  • Double the sauce for extra glaze or to serve over rice.
  • Can be served with steamed vegetables or mashed potatoes.
