Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 1 tablespoon water (if using cornstarch)
- Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Pound the chicken breasts to even thickness for uniform cooking.
- Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and apple cider vinegar.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet with the chicken.
- Let the sauce simmer and thicken slightly, about 3-4 minutes. If using cornstarch, mix it with water and stir into the sauce to thicken further.
- Turn the chicken to coat evenly in the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions if desired, and serve hot.
