Description

These Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs are consistently perfect, easy to peel, and ready in minutes with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Large eggs (up to 12, depending on pot size)
  • 1 cup water
  • Ice (for ice bath)
  • 1 tsp vinegar (optional, for easier peeling)

Instructions

  1. Place the metal trivet or steamer basket in the bottom of your Instant Pot.
  2. Add 1 cup of water to the pot.
  3. Carefully place the eggs on the trivet or in the basket.
  4. Seal the lid and set the valve to “Sealing.”
  5. Pressure cook on High for 5 minutes.
  6. Let the pressure naturally release for 5 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
  7. Immediately transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water and let them sit for 5 minutes.
  8. Peel and enjoy, or store for later use.

Notes

  • Cook for 4 minutes for slightly softer yolks, or 6-7 minutes for firmer yolks.
  • Vinegar can be added to the water to help with peeling.
  • No need to poke holes in the eggs.
