These Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs are consistently perfect, easy to peel, and ready in minutes with minimal effort.
Ingredients
Scale
- Large eggs (up to 12, depending on pot size)
- 1 cup water
- Ice (for ice bath)
- 1 tsp vinegar (optional, for easier peeling)
Instructions
- Place the metal trivet or steamer basket in the bottom of your Instant Pot.
- Add 1 cup of water to the pot.
- Carefully place the eggs on the trivet or in the basket.
- Seal the lid and set the valve to “Sealing.”
- Pressure cook on High for 5 minutes.
- Let the pressure naturally release for 5 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
- Immediately transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water and let them sit for 5 minutes.
- Peel and enjoy, or store for later use.
Notes
- Cook for 4 minutes for slightly softer yolks, or 6-7 minutes for firmer yolks.
- Vinegar can be added to the water to help with peeling.
- No need to poke holes in the eggs.
