Description

Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs are a foolproof way to get perfectly cooked eggs every time. Easy to peel and customizable for soft, medium, or hard yolks.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Place the trivet or steamer basket in the Instant Pot and add 1 cup of water.
  2. Arrange the eggs on the trivet in a single layer.
  3. Seal the lid and set the Instant Pot to ‘Pressure Cook’ or ‘Manual’ on high pressure for 5 minutes.
  4. Let the pressure naturally release for 5 minutes, then do a quick release.
  5. Immediately transfer the eggs to an ice water bath and let sit for 5 minutes.
  6. Peel and use as desired.

Notes

  • Use the 5-5-5 method: 5 minutes pressure cook, 5 minutes natural release, 5 minutes ice bath.
  • Older eggs peel more easily than fresh eggs.
  • Adjust pressure cooking time for softer or firmer yolks.
