- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Place the trivet or steamer basket in the Instant Pot and add 1 cup of water.
- Arrange the eggs on the trivet in a single layer.
- Seal the lid and set the Instant Pot to ‘Pressure Cook’ or ‘Manual’ on high pressure for 5 minutes.
- Let the pressure naturally release for 5 minutes, then do a quick release.
- Immediately transfer the eggs to an ice water bath and let sit for 5 minutes.
- Peel and use as desired.
Notes
- Use the 5-5-5 method: 5 minutes pressure cook, 5 minutes natural release, 5 minutes ice bath.
- Older eggs peel more easily than fresh eggs.
- Adjust pressure cooking time for softer or firmer yolks.
