Description

Sweet, tender King Crab Legs are a luxurious seafood dish you can easily prepare at home by steaming, boiling, baking, or grilling. Serve with melted butter and fresh lemon for a restaurant-quality meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 lbs frozen or fresh King Crab Legs (thawed if frozen)
  • Water (for steaming or boiling)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (for serving)
  • Fresh lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. To steam: Fill a large pot with about 2 inches of water and bring to a boil. Place a steamer basket or colander over the pot. Add the crab legs to the basket, cover, and steam for 5-7 minutes, or until heated through.
  2. To boil: Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Add the crab legs and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until heated through. Drain and serve immediately.
  3. To bake: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange crab legs in a single layer on a baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and cover loosely with foil. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until heated through.
  4. To grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Brush crab legs with melted butter or olive oil. Grill for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until heated through and lightly charred.
  5. Serve the hot crab legs with melted butter and fresh lemon wedges. Crack open with kitchen shears or a crab cracker and enjoy!

Notes

  • Add minced garlic or fresh herbs to the melted butter for extra flavor.
  • Serve with cocktail sauce or spicy aioli on the side.
  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley for a pop of color.
