Description

A savory and tangy baked chicken dish smothered in honey mustard sauce and topped with melted cheese, perfect for a hearty dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the honey mustard mixture over them, coating each piece well.
  4. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Remove the foil, sprinkle the mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly over the chicken.
  6. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for another 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • You can use a mix of your favorite cheeses for added flavor.
  • Make sure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
