Description
A sweet and tangy Honey BBQ Chicken Delight that’s perfect for a family dinner or weekend barbecue. Juicy chicken breasts glazed with a sticky honey BBQ sauce and grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, mix honey, barbecue sauce, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to form the marinade.
- Reserve 1/4 cup of the marinade for basting and pour the rest over the chicken breasts in a ziplock bag or bowl. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours in the fridge).
- Remove chicken from marinade and place on the grill. Discard used marinade.
- Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Brush reserved marinade on the chicken during the last few minutes of grilling for a sticky glaze.
- Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts for juicier meat.
- Bake at 400°F for 25–30 minutes if a grill is unavailable.
- Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness.
