Description
Crispy, golden homemade tortilla chips made with just three ingredients. Perfect for dipping, snacking, or customizing with your favorite flavors.
Ingredients
- Corn tortillas
- Vegetable oil (or any neutral oil for frying)
- Kosher salt
Instructions
- Cut corn tortillas into triangles using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).
- Working in batches, fry the tortilla triangles for 1–2 minutes per side, or until golden and crispy.
- Use a slotted spoon to transfer chips to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Immediately sprinkle with kosher salt while chips are still hot.
- Let them cool completely before serving to achieve maximum crispiness.
Notes
- Sprinkle with chili powder, smoked paprika, or lime zest for added flavor.
- Bake instead of fry by brushing tortilla wedges with oil, seasoning, and baking at 375°F (190°C) for 10–15 minutes.
- Use flavored tortillas like spinach or tomato for a colorful twist.
- Add cinnamon sugar instead of salt for a sweet chip option.
