Description

Homemade Star Crunch is a chewy, chocolatey treat made with caramel, crispy rice cereal, and melted chocolate, mimicking the nostalgic Little Debbie snack in a simple no-bake recipe.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 (11 oz) bag caramel bits or 40 unwrapped soft caramels
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add caramel bits and milk, stirring constantly until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Reduce heat to low and stir in chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. Remove from heat and gently fold in Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
  5. Scoop about 1/4 cup of the mixture and form into flattened rounds using your hands or a spoon.
  6. Place the rounds on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Let them cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, or refrigerate for faster setting.
  8. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge.
