Description

Heaven On Earth Cake is a light, creamy, and fruity dessert that’s incredibly easy to make. Layers of angel food cake, cherry pie filling, and vanilla pudding come together to create a sweet treat that tastes just like heaven! It’s perfect for potlucks, holidays, or anytime you want a no-fuss dessert that looks as good as it tastes.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz) prepared angel food cake, cut into cubes

  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling

  • 1 (3.4 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

  • 1 tablespoon sliced almonds (optional, for garnish)

  • Maraschino cherries (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix, cold milk, and sour cream until smooth and thickened. Set aside.

  2. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the cubed angel food cake.

  3. Spoon half of the cherry pie filling over the cake cubes.

  4. Layer the remaining angel food cake cubes on top.

  5. Pour the vanilla pudding mixture evenly over the top and spread it out.

  6. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer.

  7. Spoon the remaining cherry pie filling on top. Swirl gently with a knife if you’d like a marbled look.

  8. Sprinkle with sliced almonds and garnish with maraschino cherries if desired.

  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

  • You can use homemade angel food cake or store-bought for convenience.

  • Try it with blueberry or strawberry pie filling for a fun twist!

  • This dessert is best served chilled and tastes even better the next day.
