- 4 chicken leg quarters
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
Instructions
- Pat the chicken leg quarters dry with paper towels.
- Rub the chicken with olive oil and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Place the sliced onion and lemon in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Place the seasoned chicken on top of the onion and lemon slices.
- Pour the chicken broth around the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Optional: Broil the chicken leg quarters in the oven for 3-5 minutes to crisp the skin before serving.
- Serve warm with your favorite sides.
