- 1 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup cooked ham, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges if desired.
- Sprinkle the diced ham, shredded cheeses, and chopped green onions evenly over the crust.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
- Pour the egg mixture over the filling in the crust.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
- Let the quiche cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can substitute Swiss cheese with Gruyère for a richer flavor.
- To make it ahead, prepare and refrigerate overnight before baking.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
