- 1 cup cooked white rice
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp butter (optional)
- 1/2 tsp roasted sesame seeds
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a small pan over medium heat and add butter (if using) or a bit of oil.
- Crack the egg into the pan and fry until the white is set and the yolk is cooked to your liking.
- Place the hot cooked rice into a serving bowl.
- Drizzle sesame oil and soy sauce over the rice.
- Top the rice with the fried egg.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onion over the top.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix everything together before eating for best flavor.
Notes
- You can add a dash of gochujang (Korean chili paste) for some heat.
- Use leftover rice for a quicker meal.
- Top with kimchi or seaweed flakes for extra flavor.
