Units Scale
  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  2. Mash the avocados with a fork to your desired consistency.
  3. Add lime juice and salt, and mix well.
  4. Stir in diced onion, chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, and minced garlic.
  5. If desired, add a pinch of cayenne pepper for some heat.
  6. Mix everything together until well combined.
  7. Serve immediately or cover tightly and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Use ripe avocados for the best texture and flavor.
  • For a chunkier guacamole, mash the avocados less.
  • Cover with plastic wrap touching the surface to prevent browning.
