Description

Ground Beef Stir Fry is a quick, flavorful, and protein-packed dish featuring seasoned ground beef, colorful vegetables, and a savory stir fry sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights and meal prep.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
  4. Add garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot. Stir fry for 3–4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Pour in the prepared sauce and stir to coat everything evenly. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Stir in green onions and remove from heat.
  8. Serve over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • Use any combination of vegetables you have on hand like snap peas or zucchini.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
  • This recipe doubles easily for meal prep or family-sized portions.
