Description

Grilled Steak Tacos are loaded with tender, marinated steak slices grilled to perfection and served in warm tortillas with fresh toppings like salsa, avocado, and cilantro. A quick and delicious meal for any taco night.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank or skirt steak
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh salsa or pico de gallo
  • 1/4 cup crumbled queso fresco (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Rub the marinade over the steak and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill steak for 4-5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  4. Let steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
  5. Warm tortillas on the grill or stovetop.
  6. Assemble tacos with steak slices, onion, cilantro, avocado, salsa, and cheese.
  7. Serve immediately with lime wedges if desired.

  • Flank and skirt steak work best due to their tenderness when grilled and sliced thin.
