Grilled Honey Buffalo Chicken Thighs are juicy, sweet, spicy, and smoky, perfect for summer BBQs or weeknight dinners. The flavorful marinade and glaze give the chicken a bold and delicious kick.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together hot sauce, honey, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken thighs in a resealable bag or bowl and pour in the marinade. Mix to coat evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Remove chicken from the marinade and let excess drip off. Grill chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Brush chicken with extra marinade or reserved sauce in the final few minutes for added flavor.
- Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- For extra smoky flavor, grill over charcoal or use a smoker box with wood chips.
- You can substitute chicken breasts, but adjust cooking time accordingly.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure perfect doneness.
