Description

This grilled cream cheese sandwich is crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and super easy to make. It’s a fun twist on the classic grilled cheese—perfect for a quick lunch or comforting snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or your favorite)

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 2 tbsp butter, softened

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: sliced green onions, herbs, or cooked bacon bits for extra flavor

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese with garlic powder, salt, and any optional add-ins you like.

  • Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on two slices of bread.

  • Top with the remaining slices to make two sandwiches.

  • Spread butter on the outside of each slice of bread.

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.

  • Place the sandwiches in the skillet and grill for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.

  • Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use flavored cream cheese for a fun twist.

  • Add some sautéed spinach or roasted red peppers for a veggie boost.

  • Use gluten-free bread if needed.
