- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well until thoroughly blended.
- Divide the mixture into 6-8 portions and shape each around a skewer into a long, thin log.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Grill kafta skewers for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temp 165°F/74°C).
- Serve hot with pita bread, hummus, or a fresh salad.
Notes
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
- You can substitute ground turkey or beef if preferred.
