Description

A creamy and flavorful dip made with green onions, perfect for parties, snacks, or as an appetizer with chips or veggies.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 bunch green onions, finely chopped (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and mayonnaise.
  2. Add the finely chopped green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  4. Add lemon juice for extra tang, if using, and mix again.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld.
  6. Serve chilled with chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
  • Letting the dip sit overnight enhances the flavor.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
