Description

These Garlic Parmesan Mushrooms are the ultimate savory side dish or appetizer. Juicy mushrooms are sautéed in butter, garlic, and herbs, then tossed with grated Parmesan for a rich, flavorful bite that’s ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) cremini or white mushrooms, cleaned and trimmed

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat.

  2. Add the garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.

  3. Add the mushrooms and stir to coat them in the garlic butter.

  4. Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  5. Cook the mushrooms for about 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they’re golden brown and tender.

  6. Remove from heat and toss with the grated Parmesan cheese.

  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine or balsamic vinegar during cooking.

  • Works well as a topping for steak, pasta, or toast.
