Description
This Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes Skillet is a hearty and delicious one-pan meal made with tender seared steak bites, crispy golden potatoes, and plenty of garlic butter. Perfect for busy weeknights or a cozy weekend dinner!
Ingredients
-
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch pieces
-
1 lb baby potatoes, halved
-
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
4 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
-
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Add halved baby potatoes, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and tender. Remove from skillet and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add steak bites in a single layer (you may need to cook in batches), sear for about 2 minutes per side or until browned and cooked to your liking.
-
Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic. Stir for 1–2 minutes until garlic is fragrant.
-
Return cooked potatoes to the skillet. Toss everything together until coated in garlic butter.
-
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
-
For even cooking, make sure steak and potatoes are cut into uniform pieces.
-
You can swap sirloin for ribeye or New York strip.
-
Add red chili flakes for a bit of heat.
