Description

This Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes Skillet is a hearty and delicious one-pan meal made with tender seared steak bites, crispy golden potatoes, and plenty of garlic butter. Perfect for busy weeknights or a cozy weekend dinner!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch pieces

  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Add halved baby potatoes, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and tender. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add steak bites in a single layer (you may need to cook in batches), sear for about 2 minutes per side or until browned and cooked to your liking.

  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic. Stir for 1–2 minutes until garlic is fragrant.

  5. Return cooked potatoes to the skillet. Toss everything together until coated in garlic butter.

  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For even cooking, make sure steak and potatoes are cut into uniform pieces.

  • You can swap sirloin for ribeye or New York strip.

  • Add red chili flakes for a bit of heat.
