Description

These Garlic Butter Honey BBQ Beef Tacos are a delicious twist on classic tacos. The beef is juicy and flavorful, coated in a sticky-sweet honey BBQ sauce with hints of garlic and butter. Perfect for Taco Tuesday or any night you’re craving something savory and satisfying!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • Salt to taste

  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas

  • Toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.

  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.

  4. Drain any excess grease from the pan.

  5. Stir in BBQ sauce, honey, smoked paprika, onion powder, black pepper, and salt to taste.

  6. Let the mixture simmer on low for 5-7 minutes until it thickens and gets sticky.

  7. Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave.

  8. Fill each tortilla with the beef mixture and top with your favorite taco toppings.

  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use shredded beef instead of ground beef if preferred.

  • For a little heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.

  • These tacos go great with a side of Mexican rice or corn on the cob.
