Description

Juicy and flavorful garlic butter chicken thighs seared to golden perfection and simmered in a rich, savory garlic butter sauce. A simple yet delicious one-pan meal perfect for any night of the week.

Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken thighs, skin-side down, and sear for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Flip and sear the other side for another 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add butter to the same skillet and let it melt.
  5. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Add Italian seasoning and stir to combine.
  7. Return chicken thighs to the skillet, skin-side up. Spoon some of the garlic butter over the top.
  8. Cover and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F).
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving if desired.

Notes

  • Use boneless thighs if preferred; reduce cooking time slightly.
  • Great served with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed veggies.
  • Make sure not to burn the garlic for best flavor.
