Description

A quick and delicious 25-minute Garlic Bread Pasta that combines the buttery, garlicky flavors of garlic bread with tender pasta for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225g) pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for crunch)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add olive oil.
  3. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. If using, add breadcrumbs and toast for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and add pasta water a little at a time until the sauce reaches desired consistency.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • Whole wheat pasta can be used for added fiber.
  • Add grilled chicken or shrimp for a protein boost.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
