A quick and delicious 25-minute Garlic Bread Pasta that combines the buttery, garlicky flavors of garlic bread with tender pasta for a comforting meal.

- 8 oz (225g) pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for crunch)
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add olive oil.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- If using, add breadcrumbs and toast for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and add pasta water a little at a time until the sauce reaches desired consistency.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve immediately.

- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
- Whole wheat pasta can be used for added fiber.
- Add grilled chicken or shrimp for a protein boost.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
