Description

A warm and comforting dessert made with sweet, juicy fruits topped with a crumbly oat streusel, perfect for any season.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 cups mixed fresh fruits (like apples, berries, or peaches), chopped
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the chopped fruit with granulated sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Spread evenly in a greased baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the fruit mixture.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

  • You can use frozen fruit—just thaw and drain before using.
  • Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of the fruit.
  • Add nuts to the topping for extra crunch.
