These fried strawberry cheesecake sandwiches are crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and loaded with sweet strawberry flavor. Ingredients

8 slices of white sandwich bread, crusts removed

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup strawberry jam or preserves

1 cup strawberries, diced

2 large eggs

1/4 cup milk
-
1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)

Vegetable oil, for frying

Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Instructions

In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Flatten each slice of bread slightly with a rolling pin.

Spread about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture on one slice of bread.

Add 1 teaspoon of strawberry jam and a few pieces of diced strawberries on top.

Top with another slice of bread and press the edges to seal (you can use a fork to crimp the edges).

In three separate bowls, place flour, beaten eggs mixed with milk, and breadcrumbs.

Dip each sandwich first in flour, then in egg mixture, then coat in breadcrumbs.

Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
