Description

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (3 oz) package strawberry gelatin
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Whipped cream, for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare and cool the pre-baked 9-inch pie crust.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, cornstarch, and water. Stir continuously until the mixture thickens and becomes translucent.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the strawberry gelatin until completely dissolved.
  4. Allow the glaze to cool to room temperature.
  5. Place the fresh strawberries into the cooled pie crust.
  6. Pour the glaze evenly over the strawberries, coating them completely.
  7. Refrigerate the pie for at least 2-4 hours, or until fully set.
  8. Top with whipped cream before serving, if desired.
