- 1 pre-baked 9-inch pie crust
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup water
- 1 (3 oz) package strawberry gelatin
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare and cool the pre-baked 9-inch pie crust.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, cornstarch, and water. Stir continuously until the mixture thickens and becomes translucent.
- Remove from heat and stir in the strawberry gelatin until completely dissolved.
- Allow the glaze to cool to room temperature.
- Place the fresh strawberries into the cooled pie crust.
- Pour the glaze evenly over the strawberries, coating them completely.
- Refrigerate the pie for at least 2-4 hours, or until fully set.
- Top with whipped cream before serving, if desired.
Notes
- Use the freshest, ripest strawberries for the best flavor.
- You can substitute homemade pie crust if preferred.
- To keep the pie crust crisp, brush with melted chocolate before adding strawberries.
