Description

Fresas con Crema is a classic Mexican dessert made with fresh strawberries and a sweet, creamy mixture of sour cream and sweetened condensed milk—refreshing, simple, and delicious.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine sour cream, sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and sugar (if using). Mix until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gently fold in the sliced strawberries until fully coated in the cream mixture.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld and chill the dessert.
  4. Serve in individual cups or bowls, optionally topped with extra strawberries or a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Notes

  • You can substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt for a tangier flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding or reducing the sugar to your taste.
  • Best served chilled and consumed within 1–2 days for optimal freshness.
