Description
Savory and cheesy French Dip Sliders made with roast beef, Swiss cheese, and caramelized onions on slider buns, served with a flavorful au jus dipping sauce.

- 12 slider buns
- 1 lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced
- 12 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 packet au jus mix
- 2 cups water (for au jus)
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
- 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing buns)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- While onions cook, prepare au jus according to packet instructions using 2 cups water and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer and keep warm.
- Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in a greased baking dish.
- Layer with roast beef, caramelized onions, and Swiss cheese. Add a thin layer of mayo if desired.
- Top with the other half of the buns.
- Mix melted butter with garlic powder and parsley, then brush over the tops of the buns.
- Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 5 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
- Serve warm with the au jus dipping sauce on the side.
Notes
- Use Hawaiian sweet rolls for a touch of sweetness.
- For added flavor, toast the buns before assembling.
- Customize with provolone or mozzarella cheese instead of Swiss.
