Ingredients
-
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
-
2 cups all-purpose flour
-
1/2 cup granulated sugar
-
1/4 teaspoon salt
-
3/4 cup raspberry jam (preferably seedless)
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, flour, sugar, and salt until a crumbly dough forms.
-
Press about two-thirds of the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
-
Spread the raspberry jam evenly over the crust, leaving a small border around the edges.
-
Crumble the remaining dough over the jam layer.
-
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden and the edges are set.
-
Let the bars cool completely before slicing into squares.
Notes
-
You can substitute raspberry jam with other flavors like strawberry, apricot, or blueberry.
-
For a crunchier topping, add 1/4 cup chopped nuts to the crumbled dough.
-
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
