Description

A bold and sophisticated cocktail that blends rich espresso with smooth vodka and coffee liqueur, perfect for an after-dinner indulgence or a lively evening kick-off.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz freshly brewed espresso
  • 0.5 oz coffee liqueur (such as Kahlúa)
  • 0.25 oz simple syrup (optional, to taste)
  • 3 coffee beans (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Chill a martini glass in the freezer or by filling it with ice water for a few minutes.
  2. Brew a fresh shot of espresso and allow it to cool slightly.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, espresso, coffee liqueur, and simple syrup (if using).
  4. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds to create a frothy top.
  5. Discard the ice from the martini glass and strain the cocktail into the chilled glass.
  6. Garnish with three coffee beans arranged in a triangle.

Notes

  • Use vanilla vodka for a smooth variation.
  • Try flavored coffee liqueurs for added depth.
  • A pinch of sea salt can enhance the coffee flavor.
  • Swap simple syrup with hazelnut or caramel syrup for a twist.
  • Espresso Martinis are best served fresh and not stored.
