Ingredients

- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Use a round cutter or glass to cut a hole in the center of the bread slice.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
- Place the bread slice in the skillet and cook for 1 minute.
- Crack the egg into the hole in the bread.
- Cook until the egg is set on the bottom, about 2-3 minutes.
- Flip the bread and cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes, or until the egg is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, optionally toasting the cut-out bread circle on the side.
