Description

A quick and comforting Easy Tater Tot Casserole made with ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, and crispy tater tots. Perfect for a family dinner or potluck.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the meat is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and milk. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread the beef mixture evenly in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
  6. Arrange tater tots in a single layer on top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for ground beef.
  • Use cream of chicken or cheddar soup for a different flavor profile.
  • Top with green onions or parsley for garnish.
