Ingredients
- Cheese cubes (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
- All-purpose flour
- Eggs
- Breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Italian seasoning (optional)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut the cheese into bite-sized cubes and freeze for 15–20 minutes.
- Prepare three bowls: one with flour mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper; one with beaten eggs; one with breadcrumbs and optional Italian seasoning.
- Coat cheese cubes in the flour mixture, dip into eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs. Repeat egg and breadcrumb step for extra crunch.
- Place coated cubes on a plate and chill for 10 more minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry cheese bites in batches for 1–2 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
