Description

This Easy Crockpot Lasagna Recipe delivers all the rich flavors of traditional lasagna with minimal effort. Layered with pasta, meat sauce, and cheese, it’s a perfect hands-off comfort food meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara or pasta sauce
  • 1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 9 uncooked lasagna noodles
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with chopped onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in the marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, basil, salt, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  4. Spray the inside of the crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
  5. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the crockpot.
  6. Break lasagna noodles as needed to fit and layer over the sauce.
  7. Spread 1/3 of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese and more meat sauce.
  8. Repeat layers two more times, ending with meat sauce and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until noodles are tender.
  10. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving for easier slicing.

Notes

  • No-boil lasagna noodles are not required—regular ones cook perfectly in the crockpot.
  • For added flavor, mix Italian sausage with ground beef.
  • Great for meal prep—leftovers reheat well.
