Description

This easy cinnamon roll apple pie combines gooey cinnamon rolls with a sweet and spiced apple pie filling for a delicious twist on a classic dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (8-count) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 2 cups apple pie filling (canned or homemade)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, for extra spice)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional, for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. Separate cinnamon rolls and press each one flat to about 3–4 inches in diameter.
  3. Line the bottom and sides of the pie dish with flattened cinnamon rolls, pressing them together to form a crust.
  4. In a bowl, mix apple pie filling with ground cinnamon if desired, then spoon the filling over the cinnamon roll crust.
  5. Flatten the remaining cinnamon rolls and place them over the top of the filling to create a crust or decorative pattern.
  6. Brush the top with melted butter if using.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Cool slightly, then drizzle with the icing from the cinnamon roll package before serving.

  • Let the pie cool slightly before slicing to help it set.
