Description

These easy chocolate truffles are rich, creamy, and indulgent with just a few ingredients — perfect for homemade gifts or elegant desserts.


Ingredients

  • 200g semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 100ml heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Cocoa powder, chopped nuts, or sprinkles (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat cream and butter over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
  3. Pour the hot cream mixture over the chocolate and let sit for 2–3 minutes to soften.
  4. Stir gently until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Add vanilla extract if using.
  5. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for 1–2 hours until firm.
  6. Using a small spoon or melon baller, scoop out portions of the mixture and roll into balls with your hands.
  7. Roll the truffles in cocoa powder, chopped nuts, or sprinkles to coat.
  8. Chill again until ready to serve. Store in the fridge.
