Description

A cozy, spiced tea latte blending black tea, aromatic spices, and creamy milk—perfect for relaxing mornings or calming evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags or 2 tsp loose black tea
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 12 tbsp honey or maple syrup, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil and add the black tea.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Stir in milk, spices, sweetener, and vanilla extract.
  4. Simmer for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove tea leaves and spice particles.
  6. Pour into mugs and enjoy hot.

Notes

  • Use chai tea bags instead of loose black tea for convenience.
  • Try brown sugar or agave syrup for different sweetness.
  • Add a shot of espresso for a Dirty Chai Latte.
  • Top with frothed milk or whipped cream for extra richness.
