- 3 tbsp milk
- Colored sugar, sprinkles, or icing for decorating
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract if using.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Add milk and mix until dough is soft but not sticky. Chill dough for 30 minutes if needed for easier handling.
- Roll out dough on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use Easter-themed cookie cutters to cut shapes.
- Place cookies on prepared baking sheets and bake for 8–10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool completely before decorating with icing or sprinkles as desired.
