Description

Easter Dirt Cake Casserole is a festive, no-bake dessert made with layers of creamy pudding, crushed cookies, and fun Easter candies. It’s an easy and whimsical treat perfect for spring celebrations.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 oz) chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups Easter candies (e.g., chocolate eggs, jelly beans, bunny marshmallows)
  • Green-tinted shredded coconut or green sprinkles (optional, for grass effect)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together pudding mix and milk until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  3. Fold whipped topping and vanilla extract into the pudding mixture.
  4. Gently mix pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture until combined.
  5. In a 9×13-inch casserole dish, layer half of the crushed cookies on the bottom.
  6. Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the cookie layer.
  7. Top with the remaining crushed cookies to resemble dirt.
  8. Decorate with Easter candies and green-tinted coconut or sprinkles.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to set.

Notes

  • Crush cookies in a food processor or in a zip-top bag with a rolling pin.
  • Use chocolate pudding for a richer look and flavor variation.
  • Make it a day ahead for best results and easy prep on Easter day.
