Description

Dragon Sauce is a bold, flavorful condiment made with a blend of sweet, spicy, and savory ingredients, perfect for drizzling over rice bowls, noodles, grilled meats, or stir-fries.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha or chili garlic sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon water (optional, to thin if needed)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl or saucepan, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sriracha, ginger, and garlic.
  2. Whisk well until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness or heat as desired.
  3. If a thicker sauce is preferred, dissolve cornstarch in 1 tablespoon water and add to the mixture.
  4. Heat over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Notes

  • Use maple syrup for a vegan version.
  • Adjust sriracha amount to control spice level.
  • Great as a dip, marinade, or stir-fry sauce.
