Description

These Chocolate Peanut Butter Frozen Bananas are a fun, healthy treat made with ripe bananas dipped in rich chocolate and drizzled with creamy peanut butter. Perfect for kids, parties, or a quick frozen dessert!


Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil or shortening
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
  • Sprinkles or mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • 8 wooden popsicle sticks

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and cut them in half crosswise. Insert a popsicle stick into each banana half.
  2. Place the bananas on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for at least 1 hour.
  3. In a microwave or double boiler, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together until smooth.
  4. Dip each frozen banana into the melted chocolate, turning to coat evenly.
  5. Warm the peanut butter slightly, then drizzle over the chocolate-coated bananas.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts, sprinkles, or mini chocolate chips if desired.
  7. Place the bananas back on the baking sheet and freeze for another 30 minutes, or until set.
  8. Enjoy straight from the freezer!

  • Use almond or cashew butter instead of peanut butter for a different flavor.
  • Roll the dipped bananas in crushed pretzels or shredded coconut for extra texture.
