- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 4 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher), chopped
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2–3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the milk and heavy cream over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
- Whisk in the cocoa powder, sugar, and salt until fully dissolved.
- Add the chopped dark chocolate and stir continuously until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour into mugs and serve hot. Optionally, top with whipped cream or marshmallows.
