1 tbsp butter

Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions

In a bowl, whisk together cream cheese, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
-
Layer half of the frozen pierogies in the crockpot.

Add half of the sliced sausage and half of the sautéed onions.
-
Spoon half of the creamy sauce over the layer.
-
Repeat the layers with the remaining pierogies, sausage, onions, and sauce.
-
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
-
Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until heated through and bubbly.
-
Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, if desired.
Notes
-
You can use turkey sausage or chicken sausage for a lighter version.
-
Feel free to add a handful of baby spinach in the middle layers for extra veggies.
-
Works great with homemade pierogies too!
