Description

Crockpot Loaded Steak and Potato Bake is a hearty, slow-cooked meal made with tender steak pieces, seasoned potatoes, cheese, and bacon, perfect for a comforting dinner with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (for serving)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup water or beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, toss diced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Layer half of the seasoned potatoes in the bottom of a greased crockpot.
  3. Add half of the steak pieces on top, then sprinkle with 1/2 cup of cheese and half of the crumbled bacon.
  4. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, steak, cheese, and bacon. Pour water or beef broth evenly over the top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until potatoes are tender and steak is cooked through.
  6. During the last 10 minutes, sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese over the top and cover until melted.
  7. Serve warm, topped with sour cream and green onions.

Notes

  • Use baby potatoes with skin on for added texture and easier prep.
  • Swap cheddar with a cheese blend or pepper jack for more kick.
  • Add bell peppers or mushrooms for a veggie boost.
