Description

A comforting and hearty Crockpot Chicken and Dressing Casserole made with tender chicken, stuffing mix, and a creamy sauce – perfect for an easy weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of celery soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 (6 oz) package stuffing mix
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Spray the inside of the crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, chicken broth, sour cream, black pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
  4. Stir in the diced onion and celery.
  5. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  6. In another bowl, mix the stuffing mix with melted butter until crumbly.
  7. Spread the stuffing mixture evenly over the top of the soup and chicken mixture.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until chicken is cooked through and tender.
  9. Once done, stir slightly to combine or serve layered.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken or pre-cooked chicken for a quicker version.
  • Add frozen mixed vegetables for a complete one-pot meal.
  • Use low-sodium soups and broth for a healthier option.
