- 2 lbs frozen fully cooked meatballs
- 1 packet (1 oz) French onion soup mix
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup shredded Swiss or mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté sliced onions until soft and lightly caramelized, about 8–10 minutes.
- Place frozen meatballs in the bottom of a greased crock pot.
- Add sautéed onions over the meatballs.
- In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, French onion soup mix, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour mixture over the meatballs and onions.
- Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until meatballs are heated through and flavors meld.
- If a thicker sauce is desired, mix cornstarch and water, stir into the crock pot, and cook on high for an additional 10–15 minutes.
- Sprinkle cheese over the top in the last 15 minutes of cooking, cover until melted.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

- Serve over mashed potatoes, noodles, or crusty bread for a complete meal.
- Use homemade meatballs if preferred—just pre-cook them before adding to the crock pot.
