Description

A rich and indulgent hot chocolate made effortlessly in a crockpot, perfect for warming up on chilly days or serving at holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 6 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Add the milk, heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and salt to a crockpot.
  2. Stir to combine all ingredients.
  3. Cover and cook on low heat for 2 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent the chocolate from sticking or burning.
  4. Once the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy, switch the crockpot to warm setting for serving.
  5. Stir before serving and ladle into mugs. Top with whipped cream or marshmallows if desired.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate chips for best flavor.
  • You can substitute dark chocolate chips for a richer taste.
  • Add a cinnamon stick or peppermint extract for a festive twist.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat gently on the stove or microwave.
